Is It All About Genetics?

Here are a few common statements you may have heard in your travels:
• She has a slender body because “ she was born with good genetics”
• “Several of my family members have had cancer” it runs in our family.
• “You can’t change good or bad genetics”
It has true that all of us certain hereditary traits that mom and dad gave us that will not change, however, there are many traits that are developmental ( good or bad) as result of our environment. If you are born with blue eyes you are not going to change that ,but with good practice, you can still have good vision and good eye health.
If both of your parents were 5’5” there is pretty good possibility that you will not become an NBA athlete, however, you could still become a very good athlete by hard work, discipline, and dedication.
